A baby is god's opinion that the world should go on - Carl Sandburg
Running is natural, yet athletes prepare and train. Childbirth is natural too, but to increase the likelihood of reaching our goals, we should also prepare and train.
To help you achieve a positive birth experience, these classes focus on comprehensive childbirth education: physical, mental & emotional preparation
Here at Gentle Hearts Birth Services, I have a ‘best case scenario’ attitude for birth and the focus will be uplifting and empowering in tone and topic.
Birth in ANY form can be a positive experience, despite what mainstream media or your nosy neighbor will have you believe.
While I do acknowledge there are times when complications can occur, most women give birth without complication when they are healthy, well supported and feel prepared.

The Gentle Hearts philosophy does not advocate refusing medical assistance when required. I encourage all families to discuss their birth options with their care provider during the prenatal period and if necessary during the birth process.
Aligned with the midwifery model of care, spontaneous, physiological birth with evidence based care is considered the healthiest birth for both mothers and babies (unless there is a medical reason to deviate from the physiological birth process or by mom’s request).
I look forward to supporting you as you prepare for your positive birth.
